MAC : REBEL REVIEW / NATASYAHARDIANTO

Dearest Makeup Lovers,

Today I am going to share my opinion about the famous Mac Rebel! I know it has been out for ages, and I am way late on discovering this beautiful berry shade, but hey, better late than never, right?

Lately I have been bolder and braver on lipstick colors. It was all started from a liquid lipstick from Bourjois, then the addiction continues. From fuschia / magenta, pink neon, coral, red, pinkish red, darker red, and so on, I have tried mostly all. But hey, now I am looking for darker berry / dark pink shade. I began to look for it, a perfect berry shade that suits my skintone, and especially I am looking for shade that is not too dark. I actually own a berry lipstick from LA Girl matte pigment gloss in the shade Rebel (also), but sadly I found LA Girl Rebel is way too vampy for me =(

And finally, a friend of mine in Netherlands, Celia, told me about this MAC Rebel lipstick. She was also in a hunt of darker lipstick shade for fall / winter (sadly we do not have those fall-winter season in Indonesia, but it does not stop me from getting this lipstick!). So I ran to MAC store and grab it.

The packaging is the regular MAC black bullet package. Quite small and sleek to carry on my bag.

Somehow if you look at it for the first time, it seems scary, but on the lips it is not that bold and dark. I do one or two time wear it on the daytime, but it is much more proper to be worn on a night out.

Sheer finish, but it can be build to certain opacity

It is a satin finish but definitely can be build to certain opacity. I am still looking for the perfect lip liner for this, because I find it quite hard to apply it on the edges of my lip. For now I use brush to apply but I think lip liner will be much more convenient.

Will I repurchase? Yes, I think this is one of unique shade that should be in my lipstick collection.
